Bead Blast

A surface treatment that blasts fine particles such as glass beads or alumina at high speed to create a uniform matte finish. Suitable as a pre-treatment before painting or plating, or when looking to improve visual quality at a relatively low cost. Not recommended for parts requiring tight dimensional tolerances or high-hardness materials such as heat-treated steel, where the effect is minimal. Areas with tight tolerances (holes, threads, etc.) must be masked, and surface roughness varies by bead size — prior consultation is recommended.
