Galvanizing
An electroplating process that forms a zinc layer on steel surfaces to prevent corrosion. Ideal for parts exposed to moisture, structural components requiring long-term corrosion resistance, or as a pre-treatment before painting. Not suitable for parts where appearance is the top priority or tight tolerances are required. Plating thickness (5–25µm) causes dimensional change — precision holes and threads may require masking or post-machining.
