General Finishes

ImageDescription

As Machined

This is the state where no additional surface finishing is applied after the material is processed.  Processing marks and scratches can be easily seen on the surface.

Polishing (Glossy)

Brushing

A matte surface is created through the brushing and polishing process. This is a typical hairline finish. (Ra 0.4~0.8µm brushing, 300~600 grit polishing)

Bead Blast

A matte surface is created using bead blasting (shot blasting). It is commonly used for deburring and matte finishing. (Ra 1~3.2µm bead blasting)

Glossy Paint

Glossy painting involves finishing with a sanding process, surfacer application, followed by painting and UV coating (or glossy finishing). Due to the thickness of the paint, a positive tolerance of more than 0.1mm may occur. Various colors can be achieved based on Pantone C color standards.

Matte Paint

Matte painting involves finishing with a sanding process, surfacer application, followed by painting and matte finishing. Due to the thickness of the paint, a positive tolerance of more than 0.05mm may occur. Various colors can be achieved based on Pantone U color standards.

Rubber Paint

Rubber painting involves finishing with a sanding process, surfacer application, followed by painting and SF coating. It creates a soft texture with a thin rubber coating on the surface. Due to the thickness of the paint, a positive tolerance of more than 0.08mm may occur. The process is based on Pantone U color standards.

Metal Material Finishes

ImageDescription

Powder Coating

A powder coating of plastic or paint material is applied to metal parts and then heated to form a uniform coating. It is used to provide high durability and protection against corrosion and mechanical damage.

Galvanizing

Parkerizing

Black Oxide

The metal parts are oxidized to a black color, simultaneously enhancing durability by preventing corrosion and wear.

Aluminum Material Finishes

Anodizing

Anodizing is a surface treatment technology that forms a hard oxide layer on the metal surface through anodic oxidation, improving durability and corrosion resistance. It is most commonly used on aluminum metal parts.

Bead Blast + Anodizing

After bead blasting, the anodizing process is performed to form a hard oxide layer. This ensures a uniform surface finish.

Support Removal

SLA Smooth Surface

After 3D printing, support marks are removed and surface sanding is performed, primarily focusing on the outer surface.

Polished (Transparent, 3DP)

This surface finishing process smooths the rough surface of transparent 3D printing materials to achieve transparency. Even when printing with transparent materials, the surface will not be clear unless post-processing is applied due to surface layers.

Bead Blast (Translucent)

This surface finishing process uses bead blasting to create a uniformly rough matte surface on transparent 3D printing materials, resulting in a translucent finish.
