Vacuum casting is a manufacturing process where liquid material is mixed with a hardener and injected into a silicone mold, then solidified in a vacuum environment.
After creating a master model, which serves as the original for vacuum casting products, liquid silicone resin is poured around the master model and solidified. Once the master model is removed, the silicone mold is completed.
Replicated products are manufactured through vacuum casting by repeatedly pressing the completed silicone molds together, injecting material into the empty space, hardening the material, and then removing the molds.
✓ Can produce small quantities of replicated products in a short time using silicone molds
✓ Can produce integrated products with multiple materials through double injection
✓ Can test injection at low cost
✓ Differences in production quality and physical properties compared to the original materials due to the characteristics of the synthetic materials
✓ Need to check design conditions such as undercuts and parting lines
